These are some of the events I'm looking forward to participating in during 2022 as well as some of my more recent events - allowing for the unusual circumstances of 2020 and 2021 which meant there were no events to participate in recent months!

Absurd Person Singular (26 June 2022)
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Alan Ayckbourn's play Absurd Person Singular with a talk about the history of the play preceding Alan Ayckbourn leading a rehearsed reading of one of his most famous plays. Click here for details.

Inner Circle 2022 (August 2022)
A talk about Alan Ayckbourn connection with the Stephen Joseph Theatre marking the 50th anniversary of his appointment as Artistic Director of the company.

Stephen Joseph Theatre Circle (19 May 2022)
A look at Alan Ayckbourn's writing during the lockdowns of 2020 / 2021 in which the playwright wrote eight new - and largely unknown - plays, recorded two audio plays and directed three new productions.

Scarborough Inner Wheel (14 November 2019)
A talk on my work as an Archivist at the Stephen Joseph Theatre for the Inner Wheel of Scarborough.

Coventry University Scarborough (7 October 2019)
I attended the opening by Alan Ayckbourn of the studio / rehearsal room at the Coventry University Scarborough campus to mark the launch of the new Acting BA(hons).

Stephen Joseph Theatre Inner Circle (28 September - 1 October 2019)
The return of the popular behind-the-scenes event at the SJT which tied in with Alan Ayckbourn's 80th birthday celebration. I was an assistant coordinator for the event alongside several talks on Alan Ayckbourn's relationship with the Stephen Joseph Theatre and my role as archivist.

Ayckbourn Film Festival (20 - 22 September 2019)
The UK's first Ayckbourn Film Festival was presented at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, which included the big screen premieres of the BBC productions of Absurd Person Singular and Absent Friends. I was advisor and liaison with Alan Ayckbourn for the event and also introduced each of the movies with a short talk.

Standing Room Only (4 July 2019)
Advisor and collaborator with Dick & Lottie theatre company on the first public performance since 1967 of Alan Ayckbourn's fourth play Standing Room Only. Taking place at The Square Chapel, Halifax, this was a one-off rehearsed reading, introduced by myself, celebrating 60 years since Alan Ayckbourn's playwriting debut.

Circle Soirée (2 July 2019)
An evening event at the Stephen Joseph Theatre hosted by Jaye Lewis and myself with the company of Alan Ayckbourn's revival of Season's Greetings.

SJT Circle (28 June 2019)
A Q&A at the Stephen Joseph Theatre hosted by Jaye Lewis and myself with the company of the summer production of Stepping Out.

What Is An Archivist? (15 May 2019)
A talk at the Stephen Joseph Theatre about my role as Archivist for The Bob Watson Archive at the venue exploring both my role and the role of the archive within the company.
